New Butirskiy Print
This is a limited edition Gliclee print by Alexei Butirskiy. This is an amazing techology for making prints from original works. In this case, the artist has gone back to the print and embellished again with oil.
It arrived at my house today. I purchased it in memory of my parents with a portion of the inheritance I received. It really reminds of the mountains in the area where I grew up. Notice the barn in the background. I know this picture would give my dad “buck fever”.
I know pretty much nothing about art so I hope this wasn’t a mistake. The people at P and C Art were very helpful. But then they do work on commission. But in any case I really like it. And it’s not like I had to break the bank. Just a little nick.

It definitely reminds me of grandma and grandpas farm. The pictures they had in the basement come to my mind when I see that. Ahhh nostalgia

Alexei Butirskiy is one of the leading contemporary artists; he combines architecture, color and format with tremendous skill to produce beautiful works of art and your painting is one of them. He ranks among Russia’s top emerging artists.
You have chosen art that represents pieces of your past in honor of your parents… If this painting brings enjoyment to you, then it is not a “mistake”.
And yes P and C Gallery does have savvy sales people, but they do sell quality art so you have done fine - enjoy and contemplate this well-chosen quality, beautiful art!

It might be a good investment. From what I read on the Internet he is no longer doing landscapes. He does more urban type settings. I have seen some of them and they are also very nice.
It doesn’t say where this piece is supposed to be but I assume the Rocky Mountains somewhere. I say that because he has others that are in the Rockies. He has one from Park City, Utah.
I am glad others appreciate it and that Inger-Lis also says it reminds her of home. I have it sitting over the fire place across from my recliner. It is very nice to sit there and look at it.
