No Matter the Weather Biking is Better
That is what they said yesterday at the Bike to Work rally on Freedom plaza in DC. It was rainy but I went anyway. There were fewer people than normal because of rain. But I still didn’t win anything.
I got some free water bottles. I needed the new bottles that won’t kill me. I expect some nut case in a car to take care of that.
Riding in the rain isn’t too bad. I hate riding in lightening. My problem with riding in the rain is this. See all that grit and dirt? That sparkly my friends is not the paint job. It is grit from the road. What is this doing to the drive train? Poor Tina!
I hate cleaning up my gear after riding in the rain. :( That is the main reason I avoid riding in the rain.
I really need a disignated poor weather bike. I will work on that.
City Bikes had an SUB bike there. I love those things. See what a cool bike this is. I have thought about converting one of my bikes.
There was also a booth there for the new rent a bike business in DC. It’s called SmartBike. You get a fob type card and and when you need a bike you just pick one up and go.

Hey thanks for stopping by my blog! That’s cool you’re into biking, with the cost of gas I think well all start biking more!
At first I thought your blog was about motorcycles, my brothers were totally into Harleys. Actually our whole family was at one time.
Nice site.

When I have been on self contained bicycle tours I have often met people touring on motorcycles. I have thought that when I get too old to do it by bicycle that I would like to do it by motorcycle.
May be the only way to “get my motor runnin’” and head out on the highway.
