Damn Leo’s Luck!
Leo is an Englishman who was going to ride his bike across the U.S. He attempted last year and had to quit in Kansas.
This year he was trying again and had to quit two hours into it due to a bad fall. :( I was so looking forward to reading about his adventure. You can read about it on his blog at crazy guy on a bike.
Poor guy broke his pelvis.

Man–he’s going to be laid up for a while! I hate that dumb luck! Reminds me of when I signed up to do the Chicago Marathon and two weeks before the race I injured my ankle!!!! All that training…and I was on the couch during the race!

Yes there is always next year. Unfortunately for Leo this was next year.
But speaking of next year. For all of you who have had the good manners not to ask, here is the answer to the question I am sure you are all wondering about. No I am not doing MOM. this weekend. Minor but nagging injuries and illnesses have prevented me from training the way I wanted to.
But wait until next year!

Oh man! It must have been a pretty bad fall!! I bet he’s not very happy. At least it happened right away and he can just patch himself up and hit the road (no pun intended).
