		<description>Excellent post! As a pedestrian who works and walks in DC daily, I vouch for everything you have written.  The drivers making the right turns are the most dangerous as they don't slow down one bit for the pedestrian who is actually following the traffic rules when crossing the street. And yes, they look frustrated and annoyed that you have to nerve to cross when you have the right of way. Like everything else, defensive crossing is what I highly recommend in busy areas here.</description>
