Appreciating the Ordinary

This post is really just a way to get a mass message out to my family.  The message of course is really good for anyone so feel free to read.

You may not read all the links in my blogroll.  I don’t even read all of them every day.  But today you should go read fatcyclist.  Read the posts from 10/28 and 10/29 in the order they were written.

There is some good food for thought and action there.

I forewarn you that these are emotionally powerful posts.

Thanks for pointing this blog out for our attention. I did read the posts. What an amazing family and what a serious reminder about life’s simple blessings that we take for granted. The posts certainly provide much-needed perspective!

    As part of your family,

Thanks for the link. I read both entries. It is truly amazing how short life is and how much we take things for granite until they are taken from us. Even small things like a sprained ankle or broken finger helps us appreciate our ability to move around. I think it is all part of the plan. God tests us to help us remember him and ALL of our amazing blessings.
