Here are the numbers for October. I had planned on a century ride in October but the weather didn’t cooperate.
October 2008 Bike vs Car:
Bike: 499 miles 19 trips YTD: 5092
Car: 392 miles, 13 trips 5 less than 10 miles

You are making me think about what my numbers would look like if I kept track of them. Unfortunately I ride my bike much like when I drive a car, I just go where I need to go. I do consider the mileage and time needed in both cases, but I do not keep a running total going.
Maybe this is something I should consider and come up with a way to record both riding and driving mileage on a daily basis.
