Just recently I was counting up the number of places I have lived since I first got married. It is a lot. More than a dozen in the last 30 years and several states. Through all that I have learned a few things. When you leave a place you remember the best parts and forget the bad parts. Because of that, you think you can find a "perfect" place that has all the best of every place you have lived. I learned that Eutopia doesn't exist.

The other thing I learned just confirmed what a mentor used to tell me when I was growing up on the farm. He said it doesn't matter where you live but how you live. I have found that to be the truth when it come to happiness. You can be happy anywhere. It comes from inside and is not based on where you live.

So...of all the places you have been...where do you like the most? Or what things would you look for in a "perfect" place to live?
