Just recently I was counting up the number of places I have lived since I first got married. It is a lot. More than a dozen in the last 30 years and several states. Through all that I have learned a few things. When you leave a place you remember the best parts and forget the bad parts. Because of that, you think you can find a “perfect” place that has all the best of every place you have lived. I learned that Eutopia doesn’t exist.

The other thing I learned just confirmed what a mentor used to tell me when I was growing up on the farm. He said it doesn’t matter where you live but how you live. I have found that to be the truth when it come to happiness. You can be happy anywhere. It comes from inside and is not based on where you live.

Wow, you went to NY ?! pretty neat Its an interesting city for sure, but one that I think everyone should at least visit. even for just a day!

I am simply stunned that you DROVE all the way there! You didn’t make your friend drive, and you didn’t ride your bike there. Wow. I see this as progress But that is one long drive. Isn’t it like 6-8 hours?

i’m kinda in the same boat as ang. i’ve always kinda wanted to go there and see the sites…but i’m not a big fan of crowds. a think a lil day trip like that would be about all i could handle. looks like good times.
